Blythe Closets

What to do with all the wardrobe and accessories?

I have been looking around and found this interesting blog with a couple of ideas/possible solutions.

1. Barbie Silk Stone Wardrobe Carrying Case -- no longer made/discountinued but you can find them on eBay.
Original cost for one was priced between $70-90, depending on where you lived and shopped.
BIN prices are very high, twice (or more) the original amount. Shipping is pricey since they are heavy. If you only have one doll and a few items and not much space, this is for you.

Khrome bought one for her Barbie Silk Stone but found a few issues with it for her. She customized it to organize her stash better. You can read about her customizing and her instructions on how to do them
here.

2. Wine Case (that held six bottles) that has been altered to become a wardrobe closet. Khrome also has a great article on how to do this with some interesting tips about using cedar as a lining.
Check it out.

3. Tomoko posted some general instructions on how to make a doll trunk/closet for Petites. (scroll down)

4. Tiny Zippers has a homemade closet made out of an under the bed storage box. The whole project looks fast and inexpensive and easy to store. Also, she sells patterns of vintage styled Barbie clothing and other tiny things for doll tailoring.

5. Over at Flickr, there are plenty of pictures of Blythe closets
or doll closets.

As for me, for now, things are in a basket and some small boxes.
I am trying to thing of a way to make it all work so I guess I shall just continue to work on it and post my own solution when I come to it.
