I was just watching the news.
They said that by the end of summer we could see a price of gas at $4-8 a gallon.
Then they mentioned that it would possibly be $12.00+ in the future.
Oil prices are just under $4.00 a gallon.
Very scarey. Imagine the impact high gas prices will have on the general economy -- people can't afford to drive so businesses loose business because all the money is going to gas just to get to work. Prices go up on everything because they have to buy gas to transport the goods. No business means that some places may not be hiring or may cut back on staff.
No one will be buying cars.
More people will have problems with paying mortgages or bills, even buying food.
It was also mentioned that some people are choosing between buying gas or buying their medications. That is some choice some people have to make.
I don't go out often but even a trip to the library may become a luxury.
It will be interesting to see how many people will be travelling Memorial Day Weekend. We are not. Guess since I won't be out and about as much, I might as well clean the house out.
