Well, this place needs a bit of cheering up! Why not?
Anyways, the snow is gone and now I would like to see some green! I have only seen a few daffodils around, still a bit cold and I am still wearing my winter coat and gloves.
Which reminds me of the 100 or so daffs I planted and NONE came up -- mostly because the wildlife thought I was playing hide and seek snacks with them. Sneaky squirrels and clever chipmunks!
Tulips though fascinated my daughter when she was little, around age 3 or 4. She liked the black ones (Queen of Night) best and I recall once at a yardsale how she was so joyful over hundreds in the owners garden. I bought her a few dozen and she planted them. We had quite a variety in her tulip garden, we liked the Parrot, Peony, Shirley, Angelique ones the best.
Let's tiptoe through the tulips now! The red one dares to be outstanding and unique among the white ones. Enjoy!
