Really? Who made this sign? Not true for me. It is not offically winter yet and we already have had five snow storms, missed school for three days here and there, and today, it has been going on for more than 12 hours.
Some trees still have leaves on them, it is still fall.
About the third storm, the tractor broke down, we had to shovel. We had to order a part and I hoped it would come before the next storm. My dh just got the part, and it took him two days to fix the tractor and then we get storm #4. Fixed just in the nick of time. Two days later, storm #5, and as of this time, it is still going strong, winds, drifting, coldness, freezing rain/sleet combined with snow at times, and white out conditions.
I just hope we don't lose power.
In 2004-2005 winter, we had a storm every few days it seems.
My Mom died during a nor'eastern blizzard and I could not make it to the hospital two hours away.
Snow like this is such an inconvenience!
Worse when it melts and is slush. Then the slush freezes.
I hope this is not a repeat of that year because it was a very cold and dismal winter.
All I can think about are the people who are homeless, or have no heat.
