My son (age 9) asked me what the term "re-boyfriend" meant.
I told him I never heard of it. I tried to look it up but found nothing.
So I asked, "Do you mean EX-boyfriend or EX-girlfriend?"
He said "YES! What is that?"
So I explained using "John and Mary", how they broke up, got new "friends", and how they mentioned a fact from their previous relationships to new friends.
My demo included using small dolls as the actors in my brief play.
John says to his new girlfriend Jane how his ex-girlfriend Mary could not boil water.
Mary tells her new boyfriend Bill how her ex-boyfriend John was an airhead.
Then I tell him that there are lots of additional EX's: ex-husband, ex-wife, ex-boss, and X-Men.
He laughed and said, "Mom, that is a MOVIE!"
EX-actly!
Although he may have coined a new word so I will provide a definition:
Re-Boyfriend -- a boyfriend given a second chance with a same girlfriend after a brief break up.
